Snow report Las Lenas, 07/20/2026

I woke up to 15 cm of fresh snow right outside the door, deposited without any significant wind effect. The sun made a brief ten-minute appearance—just long enough to confirm that the surrounding mountains were still there—before the clouds closed in and the snow resumed. With poor visibility for most of the day, I kept the terrain simple and set a deliberately easy-to-follow ascent track that could serve as a handrail for the descent. The views were limited, but the snow quality was superb—and it is still filling in. A few trees would have improved visibility, but the camper is parked well above the treeline. You cannot have everything, although fresh powder from the doorstep comes fairly close.
