We're here in Le Buet and there's almost too much snow. Le Balme isn't open, Col de Montents and the tunnel are closed, which limits our options considerably. We have to walk quite a long way to the chalet because there is no way through and paths are only gradually being cleared with heavy equipment. But that's not a complaint.

Powder snow
Wind drifted snow

Every day a refill, where a lot of wind comes in a little pressed, otherwise top.

Wind drifted snow

East

Intensity: medium

Above: 1400 m

Risks

Old snow problem
Much fresh snow
West

Wind intensity: High (40 – 60 km/h)

The possibilities are very limited, we did mini laps in a small zone today. Lots of fresh snow with a poor base of old snow.

Overall impression

4 von 5 Sterne
Equal

The options are very limited and defensive behavior is mandatory. But then you can dust off some nice turns.

Note on Conditions Reports

The ConditionsReports are user-generated content - from freeriders for freeriders! Recently, a distinction has been made between MiniReport, which offers a quick status report with location, image/video and text, and ProReport, which requires more detailed information and can be uploaded by advanced users.

Every registered user can enter the MiniReport in the WebApp, iOS app or Android app. If you would also like to upload ProReports, please write to us at conditionsreporter@powderguide.com so that we can activate it for you and briefly explain it to you!
If you need help with the operation or have suggestions for improvement, please write to us at app@powderguide.com!
