Snow report Lech Valley, 01/20/2019
Ski tour Roter Stein with super powder on the summit slope and otherwise wind-pressed snow.

Snow condition
Great, even the slope with mountain pines / trees goes up and down well. However, they are not completely gone yet.
Snow quality
Summit slope with about 20cm of great powder :-) Unfortunately already quite rutted until we arrived. After that it was windswept, but no longer rideable.
Risks
There was even more drift snow than yesterday on the Pleisspitze. On the summit slope, I aborted a traverse at the top in the direction of approach to the left as the snow was getting deeper and deeper.
Overall impression
Nice tour, even if I had hoped for more good snow. The slope with pines/trees probably doesn't often go this well so early in the year. The summit ridge didn't look inviting enough for us today.
