Snow condition
Surprisingly, there was much less fresh snow here than on the tour on Saturday (about 5 km as the crow flies). The large slope below the summit was safe to ride. Otherwise there were hidden rocks everywhere. Old avalanche boulders are currently also considerably limiting the choice of tours in the region.
Snow quality
On Saturday evening it apparently drizzled right up to the top. Can't really explain the homogeneous cover in all exposures and altitudes any other way. It was ok to ride but much worse than expected.
Risks
Wind intensity: Low (< 20 km/h)
No observations made, everything seemed stable. Slight moistening of the snow cover in the afternoon. Possibly already problematic on steep south-facing grassy slopes?
Overall impression
Wonderful mountain experience - there is still some snow missing to make it really good for skiing. At the bottom, forest roads / pistes are still recommended and even then you can't avoid stone contact completely.
