Snow report Lech Valley, 02/24/2017
Kaiser's ski tour
Lech Valley
Snow condition
Snow quality
Overall impression
Snow condition
10cm of loose powder on a hard base. South-facing slopes with partial ground contact, the deeper the better... Otherwise ok.
Snow quality
Good powder, a little bit stoned at the bottom due to the sun.
Risks
Loose snow slides through powder on firn ice surface, not very thick, but easy to trigger. Wind loads.
Overall impression
Great weather, good snow, but more would be more... we often came through on the hard ground while swinging. But a good day's touring.
