Snow condition
You can now ski to the rear parking lot in the Kaisertal. From there it takes about 15 minutes to ski to the closed snow cover. This should hopefully survive for a while, I would say it has at least 20cm. From there, there is enough snow throughout for our tour to the Grieskopf
Video
Snow quality
We skied the short eastern slope on the Malatschkopf beforehand, which was great at 9:40, the firn would probably have been even better a little later. At 11:20 on the Grieskopf summit slope, moderately heavy Büsser snow. The flat north-facing slopes were great - partly fast, smooth harsch cover, partly firn. Then broken harsch, wet snow and frozen chunks from superficial slides in a nice mix ;-) The last slope before the Kaiseralpe with the sparse forest had very nice firn again. We were on the wrong mountain today for consistently good skiing, but we deliberately wanted to reach the summit. Other destinations would certainly have been more rewarding today.
Risks
Wind intensity: Medium (20 – 40 km/h)
In the ascent on some eastern slopes (Malatschkopf and towards Stanskogel) gliding snow slides
Overall impression
Nice mountain tour, nice day outside and some good turns - now CR writing in shorts outside, dream! Objectively, however, only 2 stars for the actual tour today
