Snow condition

30 cm fresh snow
Descent to valley (to 1300 m)
Descent through forest
Stone Contact avoidable

Short passage in the forest with too little snow for a descent. Otherwise, some snow-covered stones in the gullies at the top. In general, however, definitely good for the time of year, apart from the two points currently problem-free :-)

Powder snow

In suitably shady locations above approx. 1600 meters, there is great powder snow - approx. 30 cm at the top and 20 cm at the bottom. As soon as a slope gets more sun due to exposure or a low gradient, the sun is immediately gone. On the south side, there isn't a particularly thick layer of snow yet, so I assume that with good timing it's okay but not yet super good.

Risks

North-Eas

Wind intensity: Medium (20 – 40 km/h)

There is local drift snow near the ridge, but it was easily recognizable. Otherwise very stable conditions, only a little sluff even in the approx. 40 degree steep terrain.

Tomorrow, due to the lack of visibility, it probably won't make much sense to go up high enough to find good snow. Conditions should stay like this for now. Avalanche boulders under the fresh snow have unfortunately limited the skiing fun again at times. Overall, however, the conditions are absolutely perfect :-)

Note on Conditions Reports

The ConditionsReports are user-generated content - from freeriders for freeriders! Recently, a distinction has been made between MiniReport, which offers a quick status report with location, image/video and text, and ProReport, which requires more detailed information and can be uploaded by advanced users.

Every registered user can enter the MiniReport in the WebApp, iOS app or Android app. If you would also like to upload ProReports, please write to us at conditionsreporter@powderguide.com so that we can activate it for you and briefly explain it to you!
If you need help with the operation or have suggestions for improvement, please write to us at app@powderguide.com!
