Spring has long since arrived in the Lech Valley. From 1400 - 1600 meters, however, skiing is possible.

Snow quality

30 - 40 cm of fresh snow has fallen again above 2000 meters in the last few days. From 1500 meters 5 - 10 cm. We had hoped for powder on the northern slopes. On the ascent there were long faces at first with a crust of 2-3 cm on top of the fresh snow. But the May sun dissolved the crust in the morning. Buhh luckily! Between 2800 - 2300 meters there was still some nice powder. Below that, you had to actively stand on your skis and plow through the powdery firn cover with lard. With the right technique, this was really fun.

Risks

Spring = early start - period! 'Around noon, a few loose snow avalanches were already coming off the sunlit rocks.

Beautiful tour with fun snow conditions. Another scoop of snow at high altitude extends the season even further Images (c) Martin Hölle Photographie

Note on Conditions Reports

The ConditionsReports are user-generated content - from freeriders for freeriders! Recently, a distinction has been made between MiniReport, which offers a quick status report with location, image/video and text, and ProReport, which requires more detailed information and can be uploaded by advanced users.

Every registered user can enter the MiniReport in the WebApp, iOS app or Android app. If you would also like to upload ProReports, please write to us at conditionsreporter@powderguide.com so that we can activate it for you and briefly explain it to you!
If you need help with the operation or have suggestions for improvement, please write to us at app@powderguide.com!
