Snow quality
Fantastic POW in the Bernese Oberland. The crust scratches here and there.
Wind drifted snow
Intensity: strong
Altitude: 2000 m – 3000 m
Risks
Wind intensity: No Wind (0 km/h)
Under 2000 zero problemo. I spent three days in the Bernese Oberland. Before the snowfall, we were greeted by sliding snow avalanches from all expos, which can certainly spoil the fun here and there on the descent. Huge old snow avalanche on the Engstligenalp from Christmas. Lots of drift snow above 2000.
Overall impression
Overall great conditions. Now, after warming up, a short dip. Once the drift snow has settled, there's a good chance of something.
