Here too, the snow conditions have been well below average so far and the descents need to be chosen carefully. You have to be aware of this, especially in the forest, because the 30 cm of powder can cover up some sharks or the supposed pillow suddenly becomes a trip hazard with a corresponding drop.

Snow quality

4 von 5 Sterne

Where the powder remained without the influence of the wind, there was 1a fluffy powder of around 30cm in the morning and it continued to snow all day. With the influence of the wind, all the snow was blown away and there was virtually nothing to tempt freeriders.

Risks

Meteofrance has not declared a level 4 for today for nothing. Already at the edge of the piste at Arc 2000, a plank of drifting snow came loose and had to be probed by cable car staff for safety's sake. Above the tree line, the strong winds and fresh snow today have created very thick accumulations of drifting snow that are very easy to trigger. The cable cars were already blasting like crazy before 8 and now again after 4.

Overall impression

3 von 5 Sterne

Due to all the fresh snow and the strong wind, only the lifts up to Arc 2000 were running, and many of the connecting lifts were also not running today due to the avalanche situation, but the lift pass was available for 28 instead of 49.50 euros. The forest sections we skied below Arc 2000 were very funny today and the avalanche situation here was also relaxed due to virtually zero wind influence.

Note on Conditions Reports

The ConditionsReports are user-generated content - from freeriders for freeriders! Recently, a distinction has been made between MiniReport, which offers a quick status report with location, image/video and text, and ProReport, which requires more detailed information and can be uploaded by advanced users.

Every registered user can enter the MiniReport in the WebApp, iOS app or Android app. If you would also like to upload ProReports, please write to us at conditionsreporter@powderguide.com so that we can activate it for you and briefly explain it to you!
If you need help with the operation or have suggestions for improvement, please write to us at app@powderguide.com!
