Snow condition

4 von 5 Sterne

Today the snow conditions were much better than yesterday due to the "non-stop" snowfall. Lines without ground contact were also possible in the forest today, and the additional 40 cm of powder was perfect for pillows and the like. Stumbling traps were few and far between today.

The powder remained in the forest area today without the influence of the wind, resulting in a hammer powder of around 40cm. It's still snowing, so we'll see what tomorrow brings.

Risks

Meteofrance also issued a level 4 today, which was once again justified, as some snow slabs were spotted that were triggered by individual skiers. Today we had to wait for our lifts to open due to very intensive blasting throughout the area. The blasting is still going on. Above the tree line, it was very windy again today and the heavy snow drifts could not be overlooked.

Overall impression

4 von 5 Sterne

Despite the initial waiting time and tense avalanche situation, a very successful day for 28 instead of 49.50 euros. The forest sections we skied below Arc 2000 were also super cool today and the avalanche situation here was also much more relaxed due to little wind influence. The first run would definitely earn us 5 stars, we were the first on the lift, so we were at the front of the line! Almost all the upper lifts were out of service again. For tomorrow there is still no trend regarding open lifts...

Note on Conditions Reports

The ConditionsReports are user-generated content - from freeriders for freeriders! Recently, a distinction has been made between MiniReport, which offers a quick status report with location, image/video and text, and ProReport, which requires more detailed information and can be uploaded by advanced users.

Every registered user can enter the MiniReport in the WebApp, iOS app or Android app. If you would also like to upload ProReports, please write to us at conditionsreporter@powderguide.com so that we can activate it for you and briefly explain it to you!
