Snow report Les Trois Vallees, 01/30/2015
No friends on bluebird days ... Les Arcs part 3
Snow condition
Snow quality
Overall impression
Snow condition
The fresh snow (over 1 meter) of the past few days now allows lines right down to the lowest parts of the valley. At the top, however, it is extremely varied due to the massive wind loads of the last few days. It is therefore more important to choose your route carefully at altitude.
Snow quality
Where the snow has fallen without much wind influence, it's powder of the best kind, dry and fluffy. With wind influence, however, it is hard packed...
Risks
This is now the third day in a row with level 4 declared, the morning's blast successes showed that this should still be more than true in the wind-influenced areas.
Overall impression
Second day in a row, waiting for the lifts to open after the safety measures. And again, after the blasting masters, the first lines were ours :D It's frightening, however, that it didn't take an hour and the steepest slopes were already being skied, primarily by unequipped tourists - it's a wonder that nothing happened with all the other avalanche incidents these days. Unfortunately, today was our last day here, but we finally got to see the area in the sunshine.
