Snow condition
No more stone contact at last. Snow conditions have improved significantly over the last few days. Still far from average, but at least you can ski all the variants without contact with stones. The big variants have all been tracked today
Snow quality
In the upper and especially northern slopes good powder (4 stars) but from 2500 it gets a bit harder and at 2000 m very wet. The southern slopes had to be skied early but were also quite good.
Risks
Like yesterday, it was tricky. We saw a lot of successful blasting and natural snow slabs, presumably due to fresh drift snow. From midday onwards, the danger of wet snow avalanches increased. The warming wasn't as extreme today as yesterday and most of the snow had already come down, but caution was still advised
Overall impression
Another day to immerse ourselves in the almost endless "hors piste" possibilities of Val d'Isere and Tignes. Good powder in the morning and great weather. Why didn't winter show up like this sooner? Update March 4th Another 30 cm of fresh snow today. Many lifts were closed due to strong winds and gusts. The few that were open were hardly frequented and there was powder and good treeruns to be had. Tomorrow it should continue like this
