Blown backs

At the parking lot at 1350m approx. 1.5m snow depth. Not much more towards the top due to the influence of the wind. The wind has swept over the ridges and ridges and there is less snow there. However, complaining at a high level, all tours in all exposures are possible.

Snow quality

3 von 5 Sterne
Hard, pressed snow
Breakable crust
Powder snow

Snow is still nice and powdery in north and northeast exposures. In flatter terrain, the east side is also still very good. All other exposures have already been capped, especially below approx. 2200m. Further up, unfortunately, there is quite a lot of wind influence on steeper slopes, resulting in some pressed snow. On north-facing, more sheltered slopes, the snow is sure to stay good for longer. It is better to avoid exposures with a lot of sunlight.

Risks

No warning signs

Wind intensity: No Wind (0 km/h)

No avalanche activity visible apart from isolated sliding snow slides. Snow cover makes a stable impression.

Due to private commitments, unfortunately only just arrived in Piedmont. Nevertheless, I still found almost untracked terrain. Unfortunately, there was a bit more wind than I had hoped for in places, but there are still beautiful slopes and good snow to be found. The next few days will certainly be good on the north side! :-) Ski touring with a sea view is also great!
