You need to know very well the spot to find the few lines where it is possible to ski. We just got 5-8cm of new snow with stormy Northern winds... just enough to hide some stones...

Snow quality

Above treeline, the snow cover is strongly wind affected.the danger of hitting stones is high, moreover, especially on the paths for reaching the main valley, there is a lot of ice and slipping away is quite easy....

Risks

Avalanche danger level 2. Here you can find the local avalanche bulletin: https://www.livigno.eu/en/avalanche-bulletinThe snow cover is really wind affected and some of the wind slabs can stand on persistent weak layers... you need to watch out...

Overall impression

In these conditions you can enjoy the mountains but skiing is not the best.Since there is not a lot of snow, you can go for some ski-mountaineering in areas not generally accessible during winter....

Note on Conditions Reports

The ConditionsReports are user-generated content - from freeriders for freeriders! Recently, a distinction has been made between MiniReport, which offers a quick status report with location, image/video and text, and ProReport, which requires more detailed information and can be uploaded by advanced users.

Every registered user can enter the MiniReport in the WebApp, iOS app or Android app. If you would also like to upload ProReports, please write to us at conditionsreporter@powderguide.com so that we can activate it for you and briefly explain it to you!
If you need help with the operation or have suggestions for improvement, please write to us at app@powderguide.com!
