Some powder, not soo much but better than before...

Overall impression
Snow condition
Lukily, few centimeters of new snow (on January the 18th) cover the snowpack, now the conditions are a bit better and it is possible to find some nice off-piste skiing.
Snow quality
The few centimetres of powder snow cover a hard snow surface. The best off-piste skiings are located in the alpine, above 2300-2400 m, where the loose snow is deeper or below the treeline, where the snow surface is still loose.
Risks
The main avalanche problem was related to small sized wind slabs, mainly in the alpine. Above the treeline, within the snowpack persistent weak layers are registered; in isolated cases, the avalanches could be triggered along these layers and reach medium sized, generally it is necessary high loading. We have registered only few natural avalanche activity, in particular, small-medium sized, glide snow avalanches.
Overall impression
Now, the conditions are a bit better than before. It is possible to make some nice off-piste skiiing...We hope for new snow in the next week!
