With a lot of patience, you can venture off the hard track through the crusty field into the forest at midday and actually find something soft in sheltered areas. Otherwise it doesn't really fire up and needs a lot of concessions to make it worthwhile.
Risks
Many fish mouths in the southern slopes and some warm slides from the sunny rocks. In the forest there's a trickle of sugar that remains as a poor foundation for a dump
Overall impression
It was only when we really dared to ski into the unknown that we got our first high fives and I find it hard to find Combat Skiing in January a good thing.
