Snow condition
Monday was another fantastic freeride day in the Lötschental, 15-20 cm of fresh snow above 2200m. A freeride team was filming on the Hockenhorngrat, very spectacular couloirs up to 45 degrees were skied.
Snow quality
The rain cover below 2500m is finally wearing off, so at the moment you can ski beautiful variants up to Lauchernalp. Beautiful tour to Elwertätsch with a great descent to Lauchneralalp. First part powder snow, then a smooth transition to powder snow
Risks
The bulletin was considerable but after consultation with local mountain guide colleagues maximum Mässig!
Overall impression
As always, very few people on the trail. Perfect weather and beautiful powder snow at the top. Tuesday was a bit windblown on the edges and backs, but still nice powder snow on the east side and in the hollows www.freeride-grindelwald.ch
