Lauchernalp - children playing in the snow.

Snow condition
There was also more snow in the Lötschental at some point. I've never seen many a rock before. But the valley descent is easy to ski and the forests are covered in fine snow.
Snow quality
Here and there, there is a little bit of powder with dull crystals. But overall it is very fine and invites you to play. On the descents, the snow blows into the air and it's a joy.
Risks
We ventured out slowly, as the wind had been threateningly strong over the last few days. Some of the slopes above Kippel and Ferden are blown out. Where has all this snow gone? But on the sun-exposed slopes, the connection is as stable as cardboard. Caution is advised on the ridges. You can clearly see the massive packs. But we couldn't observe any activity. The gut feeling must have been a good one.
Overall impression
With increasing visibility and confidence, we were rewarded with every descent. The beautiful Lötschental has never disappointed and once again showed its good-natured side. Snow angels and flat heads were practiced and the grin grew wider and wider. It invites you to expand your comfort zone a little and provides some quirky, amusing surprises.
