The first glimpse of the valley doesn't exactly inspire winter dreams. Nevertheless, it is still possible to ski down into the valley at the front of Ferden. Some of the backs are blown off and stones are often only just covered in snow.
Snow quality
Today everything is in there, from broken harsch to hammer powder. Western slopes already have a decent cover, even at altitude. But if you look a little further away from the ski area, you'll still find first-class conditions
Risks
No special observations made, in the afternoon some slides went off with the strong warming.
Overall impression
Unfortunately I smashed my skis on the first run, otherwise I would have given 4* in the Lötschental today. After that, it was all smiles with a bit of walking
