Snow condition

Masses of snow this winter, well above average.

Snow quality

On Friday it snowed just under 20cm, and on Saturday a good 20cm more fell directly. The best powder snow was encountered until Sunday. At midday on Sunday, the intense sunlight created a crust. The wind moved some of the snow intensively, which was easy to release. Today, Monday, powder snow was only to be found in areas protected from the wind and away from the sun, otherwise it was icy and no longer fun.

Risks

The fresh snow was very easy to dissolve on the hard crust and the risk of tearing should not be underestimated. The wind filled some gullies with drift snow, especially on Saturday.

Overall impression

4 von 5 Sterne

We had a lot of fun on Friday and Saturday with fresh snow. On Sunday, despite the best weather, there wasn't much going on off-piste and we were able to find lots of lines just for ourselves. We ended today with a ski tour and a great descent in the backcountry.

Note on Conditions Reports

The ConditionsReports are user-generated content - from freeriders for freeriders! Recently, a distinction has been made between MiniReport, which offers a quick status report with location, image/video and text, and ProReport, which requires more detailed information and can be uploaded by advanced users.

Every registered user can enter the MiniReport in the WebApp, iOS app or Android app. If you would also like to upload ProReports, please write to us at conditionsreporter@powderguide.com so that we can activate it for you and briefly explain it to you!
If you need help with the operation or have suggestions for improvement, please write to us at app@powderguide.com!
