Snow condition

Snow conditions are good, glaciers are well snow-covered (currently the long-term average). Sure, there could always be more, but it's more than enough.

Snow quality

3 von 5 Sterne

Also very fine, depending on the exposure nice firn, slab powder which is a lot of fun and where the sun was out there was a bit of slush. The descent was top today, 3 to 4 stars.

Risks

Wind intensity: No Wind (0 km/h)

Definitely watch out for wet snow on the approach and be as early as possible. Some big things have come down. No moisture penetration at higher altitudes. But old snow is still an issue, I would still avoid very steep, rarely traveled areas.

High tour in a great setting in the face of the Grand Combin. We did a nice tour up the Petit Combin today. The glacier was well snowed in and the descent was also very rewarding.
