Snow condition
Since yesterday morning around 30 cm -40 cm have fallen. Due to the last snowfalls, including the warming on Friday, which led to a good settling of the snow, a base has now formed again. The snow depth is quite inhomogeneous due to the influence of the wind. Places exposed to the wind are sometimes quite icy and not nice to walk on. Some of the terrain traps are only minimally covered with snow. Ski touring options are still limited. Just about 2 stars.
Snow quality
Nice cold dusty powder snow in the lee and sheltered corners.
Risks
Wind intensity: Low (< 20 km/h)
The drift snow was clearly visible close to the ridge at the entrances to the lee, so that it was easy to ski around it. In the classic meadow terrain, the danger came from terrain traps.
Overall impression
Finally winter on our doorstep again and the early start was essential today. From mid-morning / midday there was a mass rush. Good if you're already mentally prepared for the espresso. The fourth star today is for finally riding off-piste again instead of on-piste! As the weather warms up tomorrow, the conditions will get worse again.
