Snow condition
The snow cover has lost a lot of thickness recently. Rain and wind have made the situation much worse. A high starting height or north-facing forest roads are more or less necessary. The current snow cover is too thin for denser forests. All terrain traps are lurking again. Rock skiing can be an advantage.
Snow quality
From Thursday to Friday there was around 5 cm to 10 cm of fresh snow. The snow cover underneath is only partially stable. That makes the whole thing a bit exciting ;).
Risks
Wind intensity: Low (< 20 km/h)
Accumulations of drift snow are easy to recognize and can therefore be avoided. In our current altitude range, terrain traps dominate and with rising temperatures, sliding snow activities become more active again.
Overall impression
Nice cold start with the best weather and a beautiful sunrise. Unfortunately, the conditions are not the best at the moment. Tomorrow the conditions will be similar.
The ConditionsReports are user-generated content - from freeriders for freeriders! Recently, a distinction has been made between MiniReport, which offers a quick status report with location, image/video and text, and ProReport, which requires more detailed information and can be uploaded by advanced users.
Every registered user can enter the MiniReport in the WebApp, iOS app or Android app. If you would also like to upload ProReports, please write to us at conditionsreporter@powderguide.com so that we can activate it for you and briefly explain it to you!
If you need help with the operation or have suggestions for improvement, please write to us at app@powderguide.com!
