Snow condition
Thanks to the old frozen base on the shady slopes, the new snow is better than ever before this winter in our region. Down on the alpine meadows, however, the odd gray shark is certainly lurking for its victim!
Snow quality
In the right place at the right time today. The finest fluffy powder on a hard base. The best we've had so far this winter. On the sunny slopes, you could see the fresh snow compressing. And even in the shade, the influence of radiation and temperature was clearly noticeable on the second descent. By lunchtime, however, every conceivable line had been groomed anyway...
Risks
Wind intensity: No Wind (0 km/h)
The wind peaks were before the snowfall and there was nothing more to blow at this altitude. After that, the wind intensity dropped significantly, so there was really no sign of it today. In addition, the amount of fresh snow was not critical at a maximum of 30 cm. Subjectively, the conditions were very safe today.
Overall impression
We would have been happy with these conditions even in the height of winter, but the Easter bunny apparently lays the biggest eggs! The hope remains that this has laid the foundation for more snowfall and powder fun.
