Exposition
Snow condition
After the wind influence was clearly visible yesterday, we went to a leeward area today. The plan worked, hardly any wind influence in the terrain and about 25 cm from last night. Skiing is not yet advisable in the denser forest, even in leeward terrain. However, open forest aisles are ideal for skiing. Streams and botany still need some snow.
Snow quality
Fine fluffy powder snow, absolutely top for the end of November!
Risks
Wind intensity: Low (< 20 km/h)
At this altitude, I would rate the avalanche situation as moderate, especially at the tree line where there was wind. The Bavarian LWD has not yet started operations. Otherwise, the main danger comes from stones, rocks, streams, etc.
Overall impression
End of November in the Mangfallgebirge, fine fresh snow, tour options, yesterday and today tracks, what more could you want for your winter sports heart.
