Variations of snow cover

The snow conditions in the Mieminger Kette are comparatively good. Thanks to the toboggan run, you can easily get down to 1,000 m and can also make your turns in the snow with little to no contact with the enemy. The mountain pine terrain is also largely well covered and can be skied down.

Snow quality

3 von 5 Sterne
Hard, pressed snow
Wet snow
Powder snow

In shady areas protected from the wind, you can find settled, easy-to-ski powder snow. This lies on a stable base and allows you to really step on the gas. On the sunny side, you can feel a cap and a noticeable moistening of the snow cover, which does not necessarily mean ideal conditions for downhill skiing. So definitely stay on the shaded side.

Risks

Wind intensity: No Wind (0 km/h)

The main danger is on the sunny side in front of wet snow and everywhere else due to snow-covered stones. You should always keep these in mind when making jumps etc.

Overall impression

Worse

Nice day of touring in the Mirmingers with good company and great weather. Skied up twice and got first lines. So you can still find good conditions a few days after the last snowfall in Tyrol.

Note on Conditions Reports

The ConditionsReports are user-generated content - from freeriders for freeriders! Recently, a distinction has been made between MiniReport, which offers a quick status report with location, image/video and text, and ProReport, which requires more detailed information and can be uploaded by advanced users.

Every registered user can enter the MiniReport in the WebApp, iOS app or Android app. If you would also like to upload ProReports, please write to us at conditionsreporter@powderguide.com so that we can activate it for you and briefly explain it to you!
