Snow condition

Variations of snow cover

No more snow in the forest, downhill only possible on the piste. Above approx. 1,500 m there is still good snow, but it urgently needs replenishing.

Snow quality

1 von 5 Sterne
Hard, pressed snow
Breakable crust
Wet snow
Jelly snow

It has rained right up to the summits over the past few days. This means that the snow quality off the slopes is very poor to catastrophic: crushed snow, harsh snow, hard-frozen surface.

Risks

Diurnal warming
West

Wind intensity: Low (< 20 km/h)

daily warming and danger of wet snow and snow avalanches.

Overall impression

Worse

There's nothing to be had in the terrain until the next fresh snowfall. The rain and plus temperatures up to the summits have destroyed all the good snow in the Silvretta-Montafon. Here and there you can rather hope for firny turns on south-facing slopes.

Note on Conditions Reports

The ConditionsReports are user-generated content - from freeriders for freeriders! Recently, a distinction has been made between MiniReport, which offers a quick status report with location, image/video and text, and ProReport, which requires more detailed information and can be uploaded by advanced users.

Every registered user can enter the MiniReport in the WebApp, iOS app or Android app. If you would also like to upload ProReports, please write to us at conditionsreporter@powderguide.com so that we can activate it for you and briefly explain it to you!
If you need help with the operation or have suggestions for improvement, please write to us at app@powderguide.com!

Thank you for your contribution to the PowderGuide project!
