8.2.14, In the south of Vorarlberg there is always a bit of fresh snow ... Today it was again about 10 cm above 2,000 m maybe 15 cm ;-) But in the evening it was all blown away again ...

Snow condition
Due to the constant influence of the wind, almost everything is constantly being blown away, meaning that exposed areas and ridges are almost always free of snow. If you choose your tracks carefully, you can find good lines in the NW-N-NE sectors up to approx. 1,500 m above sea level. It is and remains poor and challenging!
Snow quality
In the morning we were able to make a few fine runs in the fresh powder, but the south föhn picked up in the morning and by midday it was stormy. By then, all the fresh snow had been blown away. The temperature also rose significantly during the day, so that the snow below 1,800 m became noticeably wetter again.
Risks
Moderate in the morning, rather tricky in the afternoon due to the wind. In a very short time, many snow packs formed, which were easy to release.
Overall impression
2-3 rides were really great! Then the crowds streamed into the area and by midday the spook was over and the people were gone again.
