Ohne Wind noch immer guter Schnee

Snow condition
Enough, but where the wind blows it becomes critical again. In February there are still stones above 2000m. Not good, otherwise the snow is quite average.
Snow quality
If you can find it, there is still brutally good snow. Light, cold, a bit settled. Awesome. The right amount for me, the snow is so fluffy that anything over 40 degrees comes along. You've rarely seen it like this.
Risks
LLB relaxed today for the first time in ages. Still, it was strange in 1-2 places. More than the last two days. Kicked 2 small pockets (10x10m) loose today. Both on the sand layer from last week. Both windswept/35-40 degrees steep, but the wind signs are clear. Should be avoided on large slopes.
Overall impression
We've spent the last few days taking a closer look at the snow. How deep, where is the old snow. In one place with 210cm of snow, there is about 20-25cm of old snow at the bottom. Hardly any binding, like granulated sugar. In some places, the cup shapes are visible to the naked eye.
In another place with 1m of snow, the same picture. Exciting for us to see, we were able to find the weak layer in 3 places (Golm/Gargellen) at 2200m. Quite constant what lies under the snow. So for us it's clear to avoid the northern slopes for now. Northern gullies will probably remain a no-go this year.
