Nord Jopp, Süd Jopp...geht scho!

Snow condition
Only those who had plenty of grass in the bag can award three stars for this. Stone contact at the end of February should be a sacrilege for Ullr. On the south-facing slopes, it is partly green up to 1500m. In Gargellen it was still fine today, but further south on the Swiss border it looked miserable - much worse. Maybe we're a bit spoiled in Vorarlberg, but this year is and remains shit! - Phew, the frustration is out for now, but let's let the facts speak for themselves. Grass patches on the entrance to a northern variant in the ski area, open stones on the Antonier Jöchl, valley runs are sparse even on the piste. You can see from the trees that the snow cover is only marginal (40cm if you make a bad guess), further up the slopes are still in jungle status. Slopes that can normally be skied at full speed are currently nicknamed "Welcome to the Jungle"
Snow quality
Very fine, just far too little. Light and very easy to ride! But on almost all variants you get through to the underground. From 2000m you can be lucky and the ground is still soft on the north side. You can still get something there. Everything with sun has a decent top. Flat east and west-facing slopes are still quite fun!
Risks
The structure is very uncritical. The 10-15cm of fresh snow up to 2000m lies on a rain crust that is easy to break through. Underneath is a layer that can also be considered normal sugar. The problem with the old snow from 2200m, the poor structure, the transformation that starts here in the deep layers. All in all, a poor structure and there was a lot of skiing today. You feel quite safe in the area. I was less worried about that. Some people also ventured into the big lines. I couldn't understand why, but the 3 was certainly justified in the touring area. It was much safer in the area.
Overall impression
Probably one of the best days of the season! It was crowded, but we had fun until later. The ski tour in the afternoon was a lot of fun again. Please continue like this for a few more weeks before spring really arrives.
