Snow condition
There is new snow below 2000m, but you will always encounter stones, sticks and ice. In general, it is not advisable to go into the forest, as there is simply not enough snow. Above 2000m, some gullies are quite well supplied with snow, but this is not the rule up there either. Ridges are blown off and wind-affected areas are very poorly covered with snow. There is hardly any snow on the south side in most cases.
Snow quality
Due to the low temperatures, the snow and especially the blown-in snow was very fluffy and great to ride on. However, you should be careful in places where there is not so much snow. Here the ground is either icy or interspersed with stones. In the late afternoon, we noticed the first hard snow below 1800m. This will probably be even worse tomorrow as the sun has worked well today.
Risks
Today, we had a few drops on ridges. We avoided lines with little traffic and concentrated on off-piste opportunities in the area. In general, I would have estimated the situation to be a bit lower than the LLB, but as I said, it wasn't 100% safe.
Overall impression
Very cool day. Yes, we got a few shots on our skis from rocks, but as compensation we had extremely cool powder runs and a lot of fun. There's hardly anything left to get in the area itself.
