Snow condition
About 5-15cm were added. Nevertheless, the stones are not gone. 2 core shots on the descent confirm it. The stones are just about gone and the Ochsentalet glacier goes well without a rope. The summit of Piz Buin is also quite meagre. Crampons are necessary for crossings.
Snow quality
Good, light and fluffy. From the evening through wind with a light lid.
Risks
Wind was hard in some places. There was quite a lot of loose chute with many steep sections. Some of the cracks were clearly visible.
Overall impression
Piz Buin in winter as a day tour - check. Exhausting as hell and constantly running out of time. It was a great day. There's still a lot to do at the top. Not very busy due to the limited gondola capacity.
