Snow report Montafon, 03/10/2017

Overall impression
Snow condition
> 2000 m for 3 stars. It looks really good up here. From 2000 m the snow cover decreases rapidly and below 1800 m (1 star) it's finished on the south side. The further north the expo is, the further down it goes. North it could still work up to about 1500 m in open terrain.
Snow quality
From 1900 m and on the snow side it's nice and powdery. From 2100 it gets nice and deep and fine to ski. Below 1800 m there are clear traces of rain in the snow and it's just slush ... The quality is again very dependent on the exposure ... It's spring.
Risks
Very critical . Many blast sequences and spontaneous slides of medium size can be recognized. A number of base avalanches have come down on the shaded side (weak foundation).
Overall impression
Beautiful day in the mountains. Despite the mild temperatures, there are still some great descents to be had. Of course, you have to tour for untracked terrain. The avalanche situation is again subject to the course of the day.
