Snow condition
The snow conditions are still good and sensational for April. Yesterday and overnight we got another 10 cm, all descents at higher altitudes are possible. But in the valley it's green, from about 1200m upwards nothing is possible off-piste. But all the more so at the top in the off-piste and touring terrain.
Snow quality
This morning, really fine runs were still possible in the soft powder. But partly under strong wind influence as described in the LLB. On the south-facing slopes, a light cover developed over the course of the day. The north-facing slopes were in top condition until late afternoon.
Risks
The LLB warns of drift snow accumulations that we observed in the terrain (Hochjoch). Due to the warning level of 3, we were rather defensive today in the terrain below 35 degrees, everything was stable here. Other riders ventured into the steeper descents, but there were no slides or drops here either. However, the layer of fresh snow hides the old danger spots. This makes assessment difficult.
Overall impression
Another cool morning with some fresh snow, despite the rather critical avalanche forecast, a lot was possible. At lunchtime, a few fun slush runs to round things off - a great Monday.
