With the replenishment of a good 40-50 cm, it now has a good base again up to around 1500 m. There will definitely be enough snow until the end of the season. If the temperatures remain normal, then there should still be plenty of tours, even if the lifts are no longer running.

The quality varies from fine powder to hard snow and soaked snow. In some places, there is a light crust under the latest fresh snow, which is only partially disruptive to skiing. The fresh snow has already settled well by Friday.

Risks

Certainly much more critical in less frequented terrain than in off-piste terrain. Drifting snow and sliding snow are certainly the biggest problems at the moment, although the last fresh snow (approx. 10 cm) fell with little wind and covered many dangerous spots. In the steep terrain there was almost always something sliding along. Due to the poor visibility, only the close-up area could be assessed.

On Friday, everything here was ploughed up properly and the amount of fresh snow on Saturday was unfortunately less than expected and only partially covered the old tracks. The wind helpfully distributed the snow well here and the open terrain was therefore much better than near the forest. A lot of open terrain was converted into ski routes here, which led to a corresponding increase in frequency.

Note on Conditions Reports

The ConditionsReports are user-generated content - from freeriders for freeriders! Recently, a distinction has been made between MiniReport, which offers a quick status report with location, image/video and text, and ProReport, which requires more detailed information and can be uploaded by advanced users.

Every registered user can enter the MiniReport in the WebApp, iOS app or Android app. If you would also like to upload ProReports, please write to us at conditionsreporter@powderguide.com so that we can activate it for you and briefly explain it to you!
