Snow condition
There is still plenty of snow above 1500m to have fun off-piste. However, this can change significantly due to the current temperatures. Further down, for example in Gargellen, there is already a lot of green off-piste.
Snow quality
In the morning, everything is pretty frozen, and some of the north-facing gullies are covered in snow. But as soon as the sun comes out, there is some nice firn and slush to ski. But from 11-13 o'clock the snow became extremely slow and heavy.
Risks
Well, what can you say, from 11 a.m. onwards you could regularly observe some decent releases that went right down to the grass. The size of some of the self-releases was huge. For us it was over by midday.
Overall impression
Very cool day, which was great fun. Some of the steeper sections were ridden at the right time. All in all, a short but great day of touring.
