Above the Vermunt and Silvretta reservoirs, I think pretty much anything is possible at the moment. Down below, it still looks good on the north side too. We skied down to the start of the Silvretta Hochalpenstrasse in Partenen without unbuckling.

Snow quality

Mixed. Still powdery on north-facing and wind-protected descents (Sonntagsspitze and Verhupf Glacier). Partly firn with good timing. For example, the glacier below the Schneeglocke was great to ski on Friday at around 3 o'clock. However, many slopes were not completely frozen. This resulted in some really deep slush. Old frozen tracks and old chunks on sunny slopes sometimes considerably limited the skiing fun. From Saturday to Sunday there was just under 5 cm of fresh snow, which made skiing on frozen ground much more fun.

Risks

Otherwise it made a stable impression even on slopes around 40 degrees steep. You can see some old snow planks from the last dangerous period.

Not the best days in terms of snow, but otherwise excellent touring conditions :-)

Note on Conditions Reports

The ConditionsReports are user-generated content - from freeriders for freeriders! Recently, a distinction has been made between MiniReport, which offers a quick status report with location, image/video and text, and ProReport, which requires more detailed information and can be uploaded by advanced users.

Every registered user can enter the MiniReport in the WebApp, iOS app or Android app. If you would also like to upload ProReports, please write to us at conditionsreporter@powderguide.com so that we can activate it for you and briefly explain it to you!
