First POW Turns!
Snow condition
Snow quality
Overall impression
Snow condition
There's not much yet, but it's enough for the first turns. There is nothing up to 1000m and then it quickly increases to 30-40cm. There is an icy crust underneath. Not much but a first base. Watch out for stones! Better stay on the meadow slopes.
Snow quality
Cold, light blower. About 30cm, no more. But first-class riding. Light and fine until the afternoon. 5 stars would be given for 50cm, but it wasn't that much.
Risks
Too little to be really dangerous. I would have scheduled LLB 2 for today. A small pocket was kicked open, superficial cracks were noticed in 1-2 places. But nothing dramatic in itself. It should be a safe bet from tomorrow.
Overall impression
No clouds, powder and few people. A great run just for us. A good start to the powder season. But don't turn on the gas tap. Stones are still a massive problem.
