Fresh snow again but too wet
Snow condition
Snow quality
Overall impression
Snow condition
The snow conditions are improving with every snowfall, but are still poor. The measuring station shows approx. 1 meter at approx. 1900m. Due to the many days with wind, however, no reliable information is possible. Blown-in areas are fun, but this requires good knowledge of the terrain. From approx. 1600 m upwards it is also possible in the forest and below 1400 m the snow cover is too thin and that at the end of December.
Snow quality
In the morning still powdery up to 1400m and in the afternoon wet snow up to over 2000m. Gives 2 stars for the daily average. Today still independent of exposure.
Risks
Not much to see due to the poor visibility. We only skied in the area near the slopes, which had been plowed up the day before.
Overall impression
There was virtually nothing going on in the area today. For the high season, there were hardly any off-piste skiers out and about. It was always snowing (drizzling) lightly. It was easy to ski new lines throughout the day, although visibility was very poor above the tree line in the afternoon. Tomorrow with sunshine it will be crazy again.
