Snow condition
The snow conditions are very good above 1000m. From yesterday to today, another 10 (below) to 25 (above) cm were added to Thursday's snowfall.
Snow quality
The first descent (sheltered from the wind) this morning was still very good, just like yesterday (4 stars). This afternoon the snow became much heavier due to the rising temperature (only 2 stars).
Risks
Due to the wind over the last few days, many slopes are loaded, especially close to the ridge. Today, when we took a quick look above the tree line, we saw two spontaneous snow slabs. Due to the rise in temperature and the moisture input from the rain, the stability continues to decrease. On the last descent, the top layer slipped slightly in steeper terrain.
Overall impression
Today we rode almost exclusively along forest tracks sheltered from the wind. It was still very nice this morning, but quite exhausting in the afternoon. Not very rewarding before the next snowfall in colder temperatures. (last photo is from yesterday)
