Snow condition

35 cm fresh snow
Descent through forest
Blown backs
Stone Contact avoidable
Variations of snow cover

It must have snowed 30-40cm yesterday, I can't tell how much there was before that, above 1300m there is enough base and you can let it run.

Snow quality

2 von 5 Sterne
Hard, pressed snow
Breakable crust
Wet snow
Powder snow
Wind drifted snow

Very difficult to describe, something like "concrete powder". It must have snowed very warmly and then it must have got colder, at least the fresh snow is very hard-packed and rather difficult, but still fun to ride.

Wind drifted snow

North North-Eas East South-East South North-West

Intensity: medium

Above: 1600 m

Risks

Cracking (When entering the snow cover)
Diurnal warming
Much fresh snow
Much water in the snow cover
Woom- or hissing noise

Wind intensity: No Wind (0 km/h)

There is definitely a board due to the bound fresh snow, drifting snow and booming noises were clear.

Overall impression

Worse

First day of the road trip and ski tour over Lake Garda, so it's hard to remain objective! We skied up the open slope from Pra Alpesina and had great views. There's definitely a base here, so we should be fine for a while yet.
