Overall impression
The night-time ski tour up Monte Bondone, Trento's local mountain, has become nostalgically beautiful. Last winter I discovered my climbing ambitions here, now my ski boot weighs just one kilo and I track myself with a Garmin. That's just the way it is in Trento: ski touring and trail running are practised quickly and competitively here. I hope I won't soon be running around in a racing suit! I met Tom Arent van Plassche on one of these after-work tours last year (https://www.instagram.com/tomarent/). A mountain man, competitive trail runner and ski mountaineer, and POW Italia core member. He had an accident on a ski tour on the Ortler in April 2024. Cheers, Tom! Photo is from last year.
