Daytime warming soaked the snow around noon up to over 2000m. The hoped-for dry powder was limited.

Risks

Old snow problem
Cracking (When entering the snow cover)
Diurnal warming
North-Eas

Wind intensity: Low (< 20 km/h)

The Wibd decreased in the morning and was no longer noticeable around noon. Italy issued an LLB 4. We saw a fresh avalanche, rather small. There seems to be a problem with old snow, which can lead to large avalanches. Of the danger signs mentioned, we noticed drifting snow in Gressoney and cracking in steeper terrain.

Overall impression

3 von 5 Sterne
Worse

We tried Gressoney again, but this time we didn't win the 6. Nevertheless, the conditions were quite good and the weather was better than initially expected, especially in the morning.

Note on Conditions Reports

The ConditionsReports are user-generated content - from freeriders for freeriders! Recently, a distinction has been made between MiniReport, which offers a quick status report with location, image/video and text, and ProReport, which requires more detailed information and can be uploaded by advanced users.

Every registered user can enter the MiniReport in the WebApp, iOS app or Android app. If you would also like to upload ProReports, please write to us at conditionsreporter@powderguide.com so that we can activate it for you and briefly explain it to you!
If you need help with the operation or have suggestions for improvement, please write to us at app@powderguide.com!
