Snow condition
Absolutely sufficient to ski down into the valley on the north side. In the steep south-facing slopes, it's already starting to peter out. The fresh snow will be good again. Average for the time of year.
Snow quality
The higher up, the duller the snow became. It was pretty slow below 30°, but very good powder from the top down to the valley.
Risks
Nothing special observed. Accumulations of drift snow could be seen in some places, but it was easy to ski around them.
Overall impression
Super pre-tour weekend in the Upper Valais.
