Away game on the Italian-French border. Significantly less wind today, lots of sun, very variable snow. Snow conditions are very good except along very exposed ridges and in some gaps, as the snow has blown off here. Snow quality has suffered from wind (storm), sun and heat - the sector with remaining powder has become very narrow. Best in the NE and protected from the wind, sinking depth only 10cm. Avalanche warning signs in the form of drift snow, cornices and spontaneous slopes close to the crest. However, blasting successes are likely to have been modest.
