Variations of snow cover

All in all, enough snow to have fun on the boards. However, you have to choose your tracks carefully. Due to the wind, it is quite bare on crests and the snow depth is very variable due to drifts. Bushes still peek out in places, but are not usually a challenge.

Hard, pressed snow

No powder fun but still very easy to ski. Almost like a piste tour. In the ridge area, crampons would have made things a lot easier on the ascent.

Fun first ski tour in Armenia. As little information was available, we wanted to take it easy at first and were very pleasantly surprised by the conditions on site. A pressed snow cover meant that we could almost carve. The conditions on site were also confirmed the next day further north at Lake Sevan.

Note on Conditions Reports

The ConditionsReports are user-generated content - from freeriders for freeriders! Recently, a distinction has been made between MiniReport, which offers a quick status report with location, image/video and text, and ProReport, which requires more detailed information and can be uploaded by advanced users.

Every registered user can enter the MiniReport in the WebApp, iOS app or Android app. If you would also like to upload ProReports, please write to us at conditionsreporter@powderguide.com so that we can activate it for you and briefly explain it to you!
If you need help with the operation or have suggestions for improvement, please write to us at app@powderguide.com!
