15 cm fresh snow

Above the tree line there was a surprising amount of snow (almost 3 stars), below very little (1 star). Towards the main ridge, it looked like more and more snow.

Powder snow

Powder set on the shady side with a lot of constructive conversion.

Risks

Old snow problem
Cracking (When entering the snow cover)
Fresh avalanches
Woom- or hissing noise
East

Wind intensity: No Wind (0 km/h)

Very critical, old snow still very active. Fresh avalanches seen and when entering a slope that is admittedly too steep for such conditions, clear settling with a crack without avalanche release.

Avalanche activity

North-Eas

Dry slab avalanche

Altitude: 2400 m

Settled fresh snow (possibly also drift snow) on old snow caused by skiers on the descent. 20-30cm of starting edge.

Overall impression

Worse

It was generally very cool, especially in the upper part. The slopes look very inviting, but a lot of restraint is required, not necessarily easy. The Naviser Kreuzjöchl was quite busy, the terrain in the immediate vicinity was less busy. Tomorrow will be fine, but then the coming foehn will probably change the snow surface thoroughly :(. In the video and picture you can see the break in the snow cover.

Note on Conditions Reports

The ConditionsReports are user-generated content - from freeriders for freeriders! Recently, a distinction has been made between MiniReport, which offers a quick status report with location, image/video and text, and ProReport, which requires more detailed information and can be uploaded by advanced users.

Every registered user can enter the MiniReport in the WebApp, iOS app or Android app. If you would also like to upload ProReports, please write to us at conditionsreporter@powderguide.com so that we can activate it for you and briefly explain it to you!
