There is still a lot of snow for the beginning of March, the forest is easy to ride in, streams are pretty well snowed in and can be crossed.

Snow quality

3 von 5 Sterne
Powder snow

Small amounts (approx. 5cm) of very dry, very fluffy fresh snow on a still soft and dry base of old snow on the shaded side. Partly at the 4-star limit.

Risks

No warning signs

Wind intensity: No Wind (0 km/h)

Warning level 1 and no danger signs. In very steep terrain, the fluffy fresh snow slides off as harmless sluff.

Overall impression

3 von 5 Sterne
Equal

The snowfall overnight (only "sugared" at the bottom of the valley, then approx. 5 cm on the Niederalpl itself) - in combination with the cold - created a real "high winter feeling" again. Some sections of the downhill route were definitely 4-star quality. But further down, you could feel a bit of crust coming through and therefore "only" three stars overall. The cloudy weather (cloud base around 1900-2000m) did not allow for a 4-star feeling either.

Note on Conditions Reports

The ConditionsReports are user-generated content - from freeriders for freeriders! Recently, a distinction has been made between MiniReport, which offers a quick status report with location, image/video and text, and ProReport, which requires more detailed information and can be uploaded by advanced users.

Every registered user can enter the MiniReport in the WebApp, iOS app or Android app. If you would also like to upload ProReports, please write to us at conditionsreporter@powderguide.com so that we can activate it for you and briefly explain it to you!
If you need help with the operation or have suggestions for improvement, please write to us at app@powderguide.com!
