It continues to fall and fall and fall. Early February has been a firehose.

Light density snow on top of very light density snow with consistently cold temperatures.
Risks
Avalanche risk through early February was relatively low. Lots of new snow made travel around ridgelines potentially hazardous. Instabilities were easy to spot and avoid.
Overall impression
A few days of high pressure are on the way and it looks like a good time to head north.
